Ohio Stadium to host Historically Black Colleges

by Joe Dandron

For the first time since 1995, a college football game not involving the Ohio State Buckeyes will be played in Ohio Stadium.

On Aug. 28, a pair of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Central State and Kentucky State, will face off at Ohio Stadium in the Classic for Columbus. The game is the centerpiece of a four-day multicultural program in Downtown from Aug. 25-29 that includes a jamboree festival and a battle of the bands competition, as well as college and career fairs.
